Audio Visual Technician

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Audio Visual Technician to join our team. As an Audio Visual Technician, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining audio and visual equipment. This is a hands-on role that requires technical expertise and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a fast-paced environment. The ideal person for this position possesses the qualifications below, preferably has been, or is troubleshooting, installing and programming Residential AV gear and racks, and has strong, related experience to bring to the table.

Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and operate audio visual equipment such as projectors, sound systems, microphones, and video conferencing systems

Device setups, media rooms, retrofits, a/v racks, pre-wires, and more

Control4, programming and networking experience a Big Plus

System Troubleshooting and Diagnostics Skills

1 year’s in-field Audio/Video and Home Theater installations

Distributed Audio & Camera Systems

Able to terminate Cat 5/6 cables

Self-motivated, ability to work independently, and be accountable for work quality

Capable of effectively communicating with staff and customers.

Must have a clean Florida drivers licenses.

Must have a clean criminal background.

Experience:

Previous experience as an Audio Visual Technician or in a similar role

Strong knowledge of telecommunication systems, field service operations, electrical wiring, hand tools, and mechanical components

Familiarity with computer hardware, software troubleshooting, and low voltage systems

Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve technical issues

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
