PANEL TECHNICIAN

We are looking for a Panel Technicianto join our Process Engineering Group.

This position provides an opportunity for a Panel Technician to join a reputable, industry-leading engineering consulting firm where their professional goals can be achieved.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics to understand control panel assembly requirements.
  • Assemble control panels by mounting electrical components, such as relays, circuit breakers, transformers, and terminal blocks, onto panel backplanes or enclosures.
  • Wire control panels by routing and terminating electrical conductors according to the wiring diagrams and industry standards.
  • Perform testing and troubleshooting of assembled control panels to ensure proper functionality.
  • Travel to client sites during system installation and provide technical assistance during system start-up.
  • Maintain a clean and organized assembly area, ensuring all tools, equipment, and materials are properly stored.
  • Review project requirements and design specifications with controls engineer.

QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred candidates will have:

  • Associate degree or Technical certification in electrical systems, electronics or a closely related field or are currently enrolled in a related program.
  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools, such as screwdrivers, wire cutters, drills, and multi-meters.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
  • Familiarity with logic controllers and other control system components a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges.
  • Accountability for quality of work, project schedule, and budget

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
