Job Description
This position is based in the KC Metro area and will require weekly traveling within assigned territory.
Position overview:
We are seeking a qualified and motivated Account Executive that will assist in all duties that pertain to generating revenue in an assigned territory for the company. This person is extremely organized and has great attention to detail. Key responsibilities include monthly growth goals, supporting existing dispensary business while creating new opportunities. We are self-starters and you should be, too. Do not expect to get micromanaged, as your daily routine will be left to you. This is a sales role that is heavily focused on maintaining and building meaningful relationships with clients while creating new opportunities and growing the overall opportunity within the territory.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Mentoring customers and team members on current and new products in the cannabis market, focusing on represented brands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth in designated territory.
- Management of existing sales territory, including but not limited to prospecting for new accounts and maintaining and growing current relationships.
- Growing current accounts through the solicitation of new and existing product lines.
- Meet and exceed sales targets through proactive sales efforts.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial terms.
- Oversee monthly orders and fulfillment.
- Coordinating both orders and deliveries with fulfillment.
- Managing dispensary events, in-store demonstrations, bud-tender training.
- Achieving proper activity levels as defined by upper management.
- Completion, updating, and maintaining of company reports, information, and CRM system.
- Managing image, brand, and reputation of the company in the cannabis industry.
- Attending industry events, sponsorships, and/or customer engagement opportunities.
- Conduct yourself with the utmost professionalism, with ethical behavior, and always with conduct becoming to the company.
- Work to change the global perception of cannabis.
- Our Account Executive is expected to adapt to evolving regulations and industry standards and perform other applicable duties as assigned.
Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
- Identify and target new business opportunities within the cannabis industry.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Sales and Revenue Generation.
Product Knowledge:
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and product offerings.
- Effectively communicate the features and benefits of our products to clients.
- Provide product demonstrations and training as needed.
Market Analysis:
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities.
- Analyze competitor activities and market trends to stay ahead in the industry.
- Provide regular reports on market conditions and competitor activities.
Job Requirements:
- Stellar communication skills.
- Courteous and respectful demeanor, both on the phone and in person.
- Orders/revenue, prospecting, territory growth, merchandising.
- Assists with events, pop-ups, delivery of orders, metrics analysis and data collection.
- Sales driven hustle, integrity, ambition, initiative, confidence, and competitiveness is a must!
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work in the cannabis industry and obtain a Missouri Agent Badge.
- Must have reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Occasionally required to travel multiple days away from home.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods at pop-ups/events.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Account Executive or in a similar sales role.
- Knowledge of the cannabis industry, including regulations and market dynamics.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High School Diploma or equivalent a must.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.
