SPA ATTENDANT
Position Overview:
The Spa Attendant works closely with the Administrative and Service Provider teams to ensure the cleanliness and efficiency of the spa. This position is an integral part of the spa team and serves as support for spa staff and guest. The Spa Attendant is also responsible for escorting and educating clients with aspects of their services as it pertains to certain spa therapies (ex: float pod, sauna, salt room, etc.)
Summary of Responsibilities
· Support the entire spa team in executing daily duties/operations.
· Adhere to and ensure standards for quality, customer service, health & safety, and spa policies are met.
· Knowledge and understanding of all spa services and products.
Direct Responsibilities:
Ensure that the maintenance and sanitation of all spa premises and support spa staff with day-to-day task upkeep for efficiency. Foster and nurture positive clients and spa staff relationships. Ensure all procedures, practices, client interactions, and environmental factors unequivocally promote and achieve a favorable client experience. Essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Accommodate guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
· Escort and instruct clients with spa therapy appointments and educate them on the equipment.
· Master a basic understanding of each service offering.
· Upsell new products/services to current clients.
· Assisting with retail and spa supplies inventory counts.
· Assist staff members with setup/breakdown upon request.
· Open/closing duties including cleaning/sanitation.
· Reports and documents any observed safety hazards and engineering issues.
· Housekeeping duties including laundry, sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash, stocking supplies, bathroom, showers, kitchen, and salon upkeep.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· High School Diploma/GED (minimum)
· 1-2 years of consistent/steady work experience.
· Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
· Strong guest service orientation, able to work under pressure, attention to detail.
· Self-starter/team player, rapid learner, with the ability to grasp concepts and protocols.
· Ability to multi-task, utilize strong decision making, analytical and follow-up skills.
Requirements:
· Good organizational and communication skills
· Maintain client and spa confidentiality.
· Ability to be efficient and productive in a fast-paced environment.
· Able to lift to 40 lbs.
· Must be alert to safety hazards to ensure guest safety.
· Must be able to bend and reach to clean showers & tubs.
· Ability to engage and retain customers.
· Neat and clean appearance.
· Ability to pass background check.
