Position: The firm is seeking a Vice President to join our team in Pasadena, California. The SPARTAN Group fosters an entrepreneurial environment that encourages people to take the initiative to continually improve the organization. This will require that the new hire assume high levels of responsibility almost immediately. Vice Presidents play an essential role in developing and strengthening our client relationships, participating on our advisory teams, and in structuring and executing a full range of financial and strategic transactions. As a dedicated member of our client's transaction team, you will be responsible for producing information memoranda, buyer lists, management presentations, and extensive quantitative and qualitative analysis.
The new hire will initially work with senior bankers in the marketing of our services and client development. Projects will provide exposure to several specific industry sectors, including business services, industrials, specialty retail, consumer products, and food & beverage across the country. As a member of The SPARTAN Group, you will be required to develop industry intelligence and analysis to support this effort, including evaluating industry trends, client strategies, acquisitions, and investment opportunities. The SPARTAN Group seeks a candidate with the potential to begin marketing directly to target Companies in the near term.
Specific duties and responsibilities include:
- Prepare for and engage in client presentations, encompassing industry insights and capital structure/M&A pitches.
- Examine financial statements and develop corresponding valuation and capital structure models.
- Craft and revise debt, equity, and M&A offering memorandums.
- Support general marketing and compliance initiatives.
- Generate ideas for capital structure and M&A.
- Contribute to Firm-wide marketing efforts, such as crafting reports, summarizing company details, and maintaining internal trackers (e.g., client profiles, deal pipelines).
- Lead and oversee junior investment bankers at the Firm.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in investment banking.
- MBA qualification or equivalent experience paired with outstanding academic achievements.
- A highly motivated, ambitious individual capable of working autonomously and collaboratively.
- Proficient quantitative and analytical skills.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and client management abilities.
- An interest in furthering an investment banking career in the greater Los Angeles region.
