Position Summary & Responsibilities:
Position Summary:
The Program Consultant plays a crucial role in supporting the manager of the High-Performance Incentive Program (HPIP). They serve as the primary point of contact for Commerce’s In-State Business Development, Business Recruitment, International teams, and Commerce Leadership regarding CIPD and HPIP certifications, as well as any HPIP-related inquiries. Additionally, the consultant works closely with the Department of Revenue to provide guidance and assistance. They are responsible for generating Salesforce reports related to project descriptions and certifications. The consultant also manages the HPIP webpage, ensuring that it contains current and accurate instructions, forms, and links, while continually reviewing and suggesting improvements for the webpage.
Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
- Provides support to the manager of the High-Performance Incentive Program (HPIP), including but not limited to; maintains expertise and knowledge regarding HPIP statues, rules, regulations. Opens, processes; reviews Capital Investment Project Descriptions (CIPDs) and HPIP applications.
- Enters company, CIPD, and HPIP data into the Salesforce database; maintains history records, files, correspondence and spreadsheets of all companies, CIPDs and HPIP certifications as needed.
- Serves as point of contact for Commerce’s In-State Business Development, Business Recruitment, International teams and Commerce Leadership regarding CIPD and/or HPIP certifications and HPIP questions; consults with Department of Revenue as needed.
- Provides Salesforce reporting related to project descriptions and certifications.
- Assists with the preparation of the annual report for due to Kansas Dept of Revenue and Commerce Fiscal.
- Works with IT Salesforce support staff to enhance the Project Description number assignment and data entry.
- Works to enhance the Salesforce Certification process, data entry, and certification letter generation.
- Maintains HPIP webpage with up-to-date HPIP related instructions, forms and links.
- Tracks, sends, and reviews Job Creation Fund (JCF) annual reporting and communications with JCF grant recipients.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
College courses or demonstrated work experience in business management, finance, accounting, economics, or closely related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate or bachelor’s degree in business management, finance, accounting, or closely related field. Intermediate or advanced skills working with spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel. Previous work experience using Microsoft Outlook and Salesforce.
