Duties will include performing a variety of complex clerical and bookkeeping tasks and applying company policies to the preparation and maintenance of accounting records. This position reports to the CFO.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial reports for issuance to banks
- Reconcile support schedules to general ledger control accounts
- Accumulate and prepare general journal entries
- Review and code vendor invoices
- Issue vendor payments either with physical checks or electronic payment
- Cross-train with accounting team to be a backup for all tasks
- Assist in creating and maintaining the annual budget and forecast
Qualifications
- B.S. Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Organized with strong analytical and reasoning skills
General Skills:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with general ledger software (Viewpoint Spectrum preferable)
- Positive team attitude
- Self-motivated and independent worker
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
