Assistant Manager

General Job Description (varies by role and experience)

-Assist General Manager with onboarding, training, coaching, and hiring and termination of new and existing employees.

-Meet weekly with FOH leads, with Chef, and with GM to review, correct, and plan for weeks ahead.

-Create hthemes, events, and calendar for six months in advance. Create steps, measures, timelines needed to accomplish and review weekly with GM and leads.

-Create and conduct both bistro and coffee menu tests for all incoming staff.

-Open and close business on a rotating schedule ensuring all standards, policies, and procedures are created, met, or exceeded.

-Make an hourly tour of facility, ensuring crews are getting breaks from ALL departments, grounds are clean, polished, debris free, trash is empty, bathrooms are clean, paper products are stocked, gift shop is in order, and standards are in place regarding customer flow, service, and setting.

-Report all staffing, customer, maintenance, operational concerns to GM in writing.

-Assist with the daily operations of car wash, detail including performing daily inspections and audits of equipment and supplies in or in the absence of GM.

-In collaboration with GM, handle all customer service issues from all departments, and when and if needed, reach out to GM to resolve. All issues must have resolution first communication within 24 hours.

-Create logs, maintain, and ensure all coffee, tea, Free style syrup, ice cream machine and product, are inventoried, ordered, and rotated based on expiration dates

-Schedule (or delegate) Front of house staff based on business needs and appropriate availability of staff weekly by Thursday EOB.

-Maintain and clean all FOH machinery, ensure cleanliness and scheduled maintenance, and report any issues to general manager. Examples: all coffee machines, POS systems, terminals, printers, walkie talkies, phones, time clock, iced tea machines, ice machine, beer cooler, etc.

-Ensure staff have been properly trained and follow through on opening and closing duties, side work, and standards, and follow through on training and corrective action when needed.

-Ensure a professional relationship with kitchen staff under the supervision of the head chef and be diligent of staff and management entering or exiting kitchen areas during peak times.

-Work with Kitchen Manager to create, implement, oversee, and execute budgets, food costs, and analytics.

-Enforce, learn, and emulate all staff policies and maintain communication regarding discounts, uniforms, taking home of unused food, proper ringing up of goods both for staff and customers.

-Serve as a point of contact/lead and be physically present at FOH every shift from 11 am-1:30 pm, serving in whatever capacity best supports front of house team.

-Collaborate with head chef to execute and create daily specials and communicate specials and menu changes to staff in person and via Humanity.

-Ring at registers when needed and support staff during peak times.

-Serve and make coffee drinks when needed.

-Serve as a role model with exemplary etiquette and attention to customer service and interactions.

Catering:

-Implement and create a policy and protocols for third party vendors for food delivery and catering and manage and teach process from, beginning to end.

-Build and create a catering department with an emphasis on outbound catering orders.

-Focus on the seasonality of a variety of food items and themes items based on weather, events, sports and holidays.

-Build and create full-service catering menu for occasions and environments of all sizes.

-Inventory and identify products on hand/needed to accomplish catering goals and service.

-Create build and train a catering team. i.e; assistants and leads. Working with GM, identify roles, standards, and set expectations and goals.

-Working with GM and head chef; Define and create catering menu, packages, price points, set monthly budgets and goals, determine marketing plans and strategies, and costs.

-Understand that catering goals will be forthcoming beginning in March and that said goals must be met or exceeded by each month’s end.

-Create a collection of in-house photography for catering to be used for marketing and advertising.

-Cold call and create targeted email campaigns to build revenue.

-Identify delivery fees and schedules.

-Ensure catering equipment is in proper order and ready at all times, including but not limited to; catering van, serving equipment, chairs and tables.

-Create rental prices for tables, chairs, etc. Define what would be included for free or charged for based on order minimums.

Car Wash:

Assist a with any and all activities within car wash.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $30.00 per hour
