The Research Proposal Development Officer assists in the preparation and submission of federal grant and contract proposals originating from Tulane’s university-wide institutes and centers, such as the Innovation Institute, Aging Institute, Brain Institute, Bywater Institute, Murphy Institute and Translational Sciences Institutes. This position is responsible for researching federal grant opportunities, coordinating and managing the proposal development process, and drafting supporting documents and editing the scientific components of a proposal. Reporting to the Director of the Office of Research Proposal Development in the Office of Research, the Research Proposal Development Officer serves an important and highly visible role in a demanding, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment.
