Job Posting Title: Instructional Technology Program Manager, Value Institute for Health and Care, Dell Medical School ---- Hiring Department: Dell Medical School ---- Position Open To: All Applicants ---- Weekly Scheduled Hours: 40 ---- FLSA Status: Exempt ---- Earliest Start Date: Immediately ---- Position Duration: Expected to Continue ---- Location: AUSTIN, TX ---- Job Details: General Notes Purpose Facilitate technology-rich teaching and learning by designing, developing, and managing curricular systems; collaborate in the design, delivery, and support of a Master of Science in Health Care Transformation, professional development programs, and other technology-enabled engagements. Responsibilities Learning and Technology Design Design and maintain high-quality synchronous and asynchronous curriculum that effectively integrates the use of available and appropriate technologies. This curriculum includes academic courses, self-paced learning modules, audio/video components, and other educational and training resources for faculty, staff, and students. Collaborate with the teaching team and other staff to develop and implement innovative and effective teaching and learning practices for the Value Institute’s programs Stay informed of and keep skills updated and relevant on curricular practices and technologies, test and analyze the feasibility of their adoption, and support adoption Organize, analyze, and guide the team to implement improvements based on system statistics for the online learning management system and related technology tools Collaborate with instructional technology and design staff at the university Collaborate with Value Institute leadership to architect and implement instructional innovation for other initiatives Project management design, implementation, and support Identify and create systems for using appropriate media (such as recording and editing video lectures or interviews) for curricular development and support Support faculty during course development and delivery and students during course usage. Work effectively with faculty to integrate student learning outcomes into the design, development, implementation, and management of instructional content and maintain curriculum map Perform Quality Assurance review of new and redeveloped courses. Other May supervise members of the technology team Working independently, lead educational technology projects that require coordinating resources across the university. Will occasionally require working outside of regular business hours to accommodate course offering times or locations. Some travel may be required Other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Master's degree and three years experience in instructional design and/or project management, or equivalent. Three- to five-years experience implementing and supporting learning technology, multimedia projects, course management applications, or equivalent. Experience with video recording and editing and the use of digital media and web technologies for educational purposes or similar. Ability to develop strong rapport with students and faculty, proactively addressing student needs and problem solving to facilitate teaching effectiveness and student learning. Demonstrated experience working closely with diverse stakeholders and internal and external partners. Ability to exercise resourcefulness and good judgment in a fast-paced environment. Ability to convey complex technical information to nontechnical users. Ability to solve problems quickly and completely with minimal supervision, to simultaneously work on multiple projects, and to work constructively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in an academic environment. Previous experience in health care education or related environment. Experience leading the development and implementation of innovative instructional technologies and related curriculum. Salary Range $70,000 depending on qualifications Working Conditions May work around standard office conditions. Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation. Occasional weekend, overtime and evening work to meet deadlines. Occasional interstate, intrastate and international travel.
