As an Employment Specialist at BHSN, you will provide individual and group rehabilitation interventions designed to teach skills and offer support to adults with mental illness.

What your day might look like:
- Provides interventions aimed at supporting employment and developing readiness, in either group or individual modalities, as directed by PROS supervisory staff;
- Provides engaging interventions for individual recipients both at the program site and/or within the community as appropriate;
- Responsible for submitting accurate and timely records of service interventions in accordance with regulatory and Agency requirements;
- Participates in the development, writing and timely completion of required documentation in accordance with state/federal regulations and Agency policies and procedures;
- Coordinates and collaborates with rehabilitation team;
- Provides safe transport to recipients as directed;
- Provides needed services in such a manner as to insure quality, outcomes and billing compliance.
Your skills and qualifications:
- 1 to 2 years experience in mental health or rehabilitation environment preferred with AA degree or a BA/BS degree in a human services related field essential;
- Valid NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation required;
- Evening and/or weekend hours may be required to meet the needs of program consumers; local travel possible
- Must be able to sit, stand and move around as necessary to provide services in a variety of program settings, i.e. indoors, outdoors, off-site.
