Job Title: Wholesale Sales Representative

Position Type: Exempt/Full-time (45 weekly hours)

Salary: $100,000 OTE

Reports To: Director of Marketing

Location: Verdes Admin Offices

Oversight: Wholesale

Travel Required: Yes

Collaborates With: Wholesale Relationship Manager, Marketing Strategist, Head of Education and Culture, VP of Operations, Accounting & Marketing Team

Job Summary:

This role is expected to manage and nurture wholesale client relationships, while acquiring and building new wholesale client relationships. Your main responsibility is to increase assortment and develop and close new qualified customers across New Mexico. The qualified salesperson must be extremely knowledgeable about the product lines, represent honesty, integrity, and professionalism, while providing exceptional customer service. This person should embody the brand and our commitment to enhancing people’s lives through cannabis. This role’s success will be determined by hitting quotas, expanding Wholesale reach, increasing revenue, and creating meaningful strategic partnerships in the community. This role will be responsible for prospecting, visiting, and closing new accounts, as well as organically growing existing accounts.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Hit pre-established quotas and revenue goals as set by Director of Marketing
  • Develop a data-driven prospecting strategy for lead generation and conversion
  • Log calls, emails, meetings, and client notes in HubSpot CRM to manage existing wholesale client accounts and to track prospective wholesale client pipeline
  • Travel to dispensaries to present product portfolio to managers and buyers
  • Assess customer needs, answer questions, and assist with ordering process
  • Process necessary paperwork to establish accounts
  • Provide sales reports to management
  • Extensive travel and driving are essential duties and functions of this position
  • Create personalized pitch decks for prospective clients based on their unique needs
  • Build proposals and order estimates to create wholesale revenue forecasts
  • Key activities include phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings
  • Coordinate with other departments to achieve successful merchandizing, education, marketing, and order fulfillment
  • Maintain strong relationships with all wholesale clients by conducting wholesale partner store visits and engaging with their staff on a consistent and regular basis
  • Perform frequent phone calls with wholesale clients to ensure satisfaction
  • Conduct Strategic Account Review with medium to large, high-revenue and high growth potential accounts on a regular cadence
  • Provide ways to streamline and improve wholesale processes with wholesale clients in mind

 

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED, bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Proficiency in Office 365 applications
  • Ability to manage multiple customer relationships
  • Ability to handle high stress situations, ambiguity and changing priorities
  • Communication: active listening, diplomacy, tact, verbal and written communication
  • Emotional intelligence: self-awareness, self-management, empathy, relationship management
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organization
  • Reliability and accountability
  • Frequent travel around New Mexico is required
  • Personal and reliable vehicle with current insurance and registration

 

Physical and Emotional Requirements:

  • Must be able to look at a computer screen for long periods of time
  • Ability to frequently lift 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • Employee must be able to stoop, kneel, or crouch occasionally
  • Ability to work in a confined area
  • Ability to be in a car for long periods of time
  • Ability to work alone and in a team environment
  • Must be able to tolerate a reasonable amount of work stress
  • This role is expected to follow all department standard operating procedures

 

Compensation/Hours:

$100,000 OTE, 45 /- hours/week, flexible schedule to be determined with immediate supervisor
