JOB SUMMARY
The General Manager is driven and passionate about delivering the highest quality Food & Beverage experience, as well as providing the best service to guests. Total responsibility for elevating the restaurant (FOH and BOH), with a high emphasis on coaching and mentoring the teams. He/She will understand how to maximize the restaurant operations’ profits without compromising service excellence, and will inspire your teams and leaders toward the same goal. You will address and reinforce the staff retention through consistent communication, clear succession planning, and by engaging dedicated and caring team members.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implementation and oversight of all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, checklists, and training programs.
- Identify and implement processes to improve the consistency of service excellence
- Meet or exceed financial budgets and forecasts
- Ensure compliance with all applicable standards, laws/regulations, compliance with food handling/sanitation standards and local,state, and federal liquor laws
- Review staffing levels to ensure guest experience and operational needs are met
- Support recruitment efforts, monitor activities of personnel and take disciplinary action if needed
- Translate the overall restaurant strategy into day-to-day execution
- Regularly review and evaluate the degree of customer satisfaction while working toward patterns resolution
- Provide leadership and direction to ensure alignment in goals and focuses
- Monitor food and beverage quality, pricing strategies, and cost efficiency
- Partner closely and collaboratively with leaders throughout the entire Village community
- Identify and develop both recruitment strategy and internal succession plan to minimize staff turnover
- Drive employees’ performance improvement through focused development of direct reports’ leadership skills
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by leader
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or related required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years in a FOH supervisory role
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Restaurant Manager in a upscale dining environment required
- Current Food Service Manager certification
- Exhibit elevated food, wine, and beverage knowledge
- Control inventory by reviewing and evaluating usage reports; analyzing variances; taking corrective actions.
- Achieve company objectives in , service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment.
- Creative problem solver
- Ability to successfully manage multiple projects/priorities and deliver results in a demanding work environment
- Must have the aptitude to provide overall strategic leadership
- Enthusiastic about coaching, mentoring, and training hourly teams and leaders toward measurable goals
- Must be organized, able to multitask, and easily adapt and respond to change
- Focus on team goals and ability to work across departments – culinary, HR, finance, etc.
- Understands the accounting and supply chain functions.
- Familiarity with industry standard technologies and programs.
- Excellent written/verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move product, equipment and supplies up to fifty (50) pounds
- Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.
- Exposure to temperatures: <32 degrees Fahrenheit (freezers), 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerators), >90 degrees Fahrenheit.
