ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties include:
Responsible for providing prompt and courteous food and beverage service to all banquet guests and create extraordinary banquet experiences.
Serve food and beverages at banquet functions in a timely manner
Respondto last minute changes or special requests that may occur during the event
Ring sales from drink purchases at events and maintain accurate cash drawer balance
Thoroughly review BEO and all details of the event
Set food and beverage buffets and tables as specified on BEOs
Work effectively with the kitchen staff and banquet team to ensure that events are successful
Perform set up and breakdown of various food and beverage stations
Perform side work, cleaning duties and other duties
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, BEOs, and memos
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
Must be able to pass a background check
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent and one year experience in banquets.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the person must be able to occasionally move about inside the banquet spaces, banquet kitchen, and kitchen to access different kitchen items, meals, and equipment. Frequently moves large trays and several plated meals with precision. This is a fast-paced position.
WORK SCHEDULE: Work a part time varied schedule including days, nights, weekdays, weekends and holidays as assigned by BanquetManager.
