MILIEU COUNSELOR II- KITCHEN

Fulltime… Kitchen Program/Adolescent Residential

Wellspring is seeking an experienced counselor to coordinate the kitchen program and provide a healing milieu experience in our Adolescent Residential Program.

Full time position w/health and paid time off benefits.

Qualifications:

• Kitchen experience/skills and interest in applying them in the milieu setting, keeping with our therapeutic milieu model.
• Specific experience with cooking for large groups, particularly non-institutional settings.
• Nutritional knowledge/experience and willingness to work with a nutritionist, and the clinical team, to provide healthy meal choices and dining experiences.
• Ability to maintain already established good working relationships with food vendors, health department reviewers, and others.
• Willing and able to teach culinary skills to residents and staff with kindness and care.
• Experience in training and/or supervising others is a plus.
• Serve Safe Certification or willingness to complete the certification process.

Seeking:

BA/BS in Psychology or related field is preferred. Will accept two-year degree with experience working in a therapeutic field/culinary program.

Requirements:

An earned BA/BS in Psychology or related field is preferred. Will accept two-year degree (or equivalent – i.e. minimum 60 credit hours earned) with experience working in a therapeutic field.
