This position is responsible for accurate and timely data entry of new applications, quotes, renewals, amendments, and cancellations/non-renewals, within assigned authority levels. In addition, it involves oral and written communication, working knowledge of Commercial/Farm Lines coverage, as well as working with reports and policy systems. This individual is also responsible for working with their team to achieve designated service standards and assist others to meet those standards. This position is also responsible for workflow tracking, quality control, training, CSR procedural support and the fostering of team, departmental and company relationships and promoting positive agency affiliations. Position may also require performing job functions within other departments as assigned.
Salary Grade (5) 15.62 - 19.52 - 23.42
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Prepares quotes and policies, which includes rating and data entry.
Evaluates renewal coverages and exposures, pricing and premium audits within established authority levels.
Reviews change requests, classifies vehicles, rates and processes these items being sure to follow assigned authority levels. Refer items to underwriting based on screening criteria.
Assembles and ensures quality control of policies, quotes, and change requests.
Orders reports for underwriting review, to include but not limited to Motor Vehicle Reports, Loss Control, and Premium Audits. Reviews MVRs and processes audits within assigned authority levels.
Answers telephone inquiries from agents, insured, mortgagee companies, and internal personnel in a courteous and professional manner.
Have an understanding of WRG’s software programs and ability to handle inquiries from internal and external customers.
Perform job functions of other areas of the Business Operations Department.
Troubleshoot and report problems to immediate Supervisor that results from processing errors.
May review new applications for accuracy and completeness and may communicate with agency for missing information.
Communicate via telephone, fax, electronic and written correspondence with managers, agency, team, departmental and other Company personnel in a courteous and professional manner.
Work closely with Underwriting and their respective manager to achieve departmental service standards.
Maintain organization of the digital files per guidelines.
Demonstrate leadership skills, positive attitude and create a favorable experience for our customers.
Other projects/duties as assigned.
May be required to perform job functions of other areas within the Business Operations Department.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
1 year previous office related work experience preferred
Introductory education courses will be required if no prior Insurance experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a changing work environment
Excellent PC and Data Entry Skills
Ambitious and self-motivated
Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
Strong prioritization and organizational skills
Ability to think “Outside the Box”
Prior Commercial/Farm Insurance experience a plus
