Location: Remote with expected travel
Summary:
Our Program Manager will lead/manage a team of individuals to support and manage current engagements. They will organize and prioritize work to ensure overall program timelines and performance measures are met. Additionally, the PM will lead day-to-day program management activities, provide direct supervision to staff, and maintain a complete understanding of all applicable program policies, requirements, and procedures within the guidelines established.
Position Summary:
- Candidate should have the ability to travel on short notice
- Candidates should understand that it is common for projects, during the launch phase, to require extraordinary time above a typical work week
- Participates in the planning, launch, and implementation of projects
- Develops and manages project scope, schedule and budget
- Takes primary responsibility to ensure project deliverables are completed on schedule
- Is knowledgeable about Program policies and helps develop standard operating procedures
- Supervises one or more direct reports; defines scope of work and assignment of tasks to direct reports and provides training
- Exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to day-to-day management
- Tracks project deliverables using internal data management and project execution tools
- Takes primary responsibility for quality control and quality assurance to the client
- Interfaces with Information Technology Department and team of developers to develop and continuously improve data management and workflow in project management system
- Interfaces with Human Resources for personnel onboarding and recruiting
- Interfaces with Accounting regarding financial performance, goals, and monthly budget evaluation
- Reports to the Executive Team regarding Project status, deliverables, and financial performance on a weekly or monthly basis
- Other tasks as directed

- Ability to assess problems and develop solutions in a live, fast-paced environment
- Demonstrates leadership skills in task assignment, managing workflow, training personnel, and leading a team
- Possesses strong customer service skills.
- Ability to react promptly and efficiently to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to elicit cooperation from a variety of sources including team members, subcontractors, and other departments
- Strong written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, and leadership ability
- Exercise independent judgment and strong decision-making skills.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, but this can be in a variety of disciplines
- At least three (3) years of professional services experience, but this can be from a variety of disciplines
- Knowledge of advanced project management practices, methods, and techniques
- Demonstrated experience in a supervisory role
- Advanced level Microsoft Office skills: ability to import, create formulas, pivot tables, export data and run reports in Microsoft Excel; ability to quickly learn new software applications
Desired Additional Qualifications:
- Advanced degrees
- Prior experience in a leadership position on a project or program
- Prior experience in a project management database system
- Experience with HUD CDBG-DR, FEMA, or other Federal grant programs
