XCJ (Xiao Chi Jie) is looking for multi-dimensional individuals to join our rapidly expanding team and business.
We are an upstart, fast casual, Chinese Street Food concept. We’ve been able to quickly shift gear amidst the rapidly evolving restaurant ecosystem surrounding contactless, but memorable culinary experiences, and need your help as our new Inventory Manager to continue our burgeoning growth!
Job Summary
Under the general discretion of the Head of Supply Chain, the Inventory Manager is responsible for setting strategy of people, process and systems for the inventory department as well as across production, fulfillment, and 3PLs. This position would manage all areas of production inventory including inbound, WIP and finished goods throughout the network of manufacturing and distribution centers.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Develop, monitor and champion initiatives related to inventory and material flow for manufacturing and distribution centers
- Promote inventory transaction integrity accuracy while providing feedback to the operations and fulfillment teams
- Develop and execute strategic action plans that increase inventory accuracy and reduce inventory discrepancies
- Serve the primary point of contact for end of year inventory audits
- Establish and maintain inventory handling procedures across facilities
- Collaborate with operations on procedures and processes surrounding warehouse management system inventory locations
- Identify root causes of inventory discrepancies through cause-and-effect analysis
- Provide vision and direction for best-in-class inventory management
- Lead and direct cross-functional projects impacting inventory
- Combination of manufacturing, warehouse and office environment including refrigerated spaces
- We operate in a 7 day a week manufacturing environment
- Some weekend/night work is required
- Position required to be onsite in the Auburn, WA plant 90% of the time due to hands-on process improvements needed within inventory/logistics. Some work may be conducted out of corporate office in Bellevue
- Some remote work may be arranged in advance. Being located in the Seattle metropolitan area is required.

Education & Experience
- 3 years supervisory experience in a Distribution or Manufacturing environment
- 5 years experience in Inventory Management, with the proven ability to show improvement in a continually developing environment
- Bachelor’s Degree required (4 additional years experience in lieu of degree may be considered)
- Lean or Six Sigma certification encouraged
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Strong leadership skills and ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced, high-energy, and highly team-oriented environment
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Frequent walking and carrying items
- Must be able to life up to 20 pounds regularly and 40 pounds occasionally with accommodation
- Frequently exposed to loud noise in the manufacturing and production environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
