About This Role:
You will help architect, deploy, and operate Thentia’s cloud application and services infrastructure that aligns with business needs and enables secure and steady expansion as our employee population and customer base grows. You will be responsible for supporting operational innovation and providing support to the business to assure the company’s product’s delivery within a cloud computing infrastructure. You will assist with the delivery of applications at scale, securely, and with resiliency to support business initiatives. You should be adept at dealing with disparate applications and data systems to maintain the level of rigour required to adhere to business direction. Along with the depth of system coverage, the role requires planning and designing policies and maintenance, adherence to governance expectations, and managing and maintaining tools that monitor and assure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
- Promote automation and infrastructure best practices.
- Contribute to a team of like-minded platform engineers building platforms in GCP public clouds
- Write code and scripts to automate infrastructure and other common workflows.
- Design and build highly scalable, secure, and highly available architectures.
- Provide expertise for the implementation of monitoring and management infrastructure for health, availability, and performance management.
- Own CI/CD pipelines and maintain them to automate the deployments.
- Use the right tool for the job; we love modern technology.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience on GCP platform.
- AWS/Azure knowledge is a bonus.
- Hands-on experience in developing and maintaining automation frameworks like Teamcity, Github Actions.
- Knowledge of Ansible is an asset.
- Hands-on experience working with and deploying containers and microservices.
- Solid understanding of Terraform and Kubernetes
- Knowledge on technologies like maven, nodejs, elasticsearch, mongodb, arrangodb, singlestore/memsql will be useful.
- Good understanding of software development processes and methodologies.
- Willingness to learn new emerging tools and technologies.
