As a Healthcare Authorizations Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive the necessary therapy services by obtaining and tracking authorizations from insurance companies. Daily Tasks
- Obtain authorizations from insurance companies for therapy services
- Track and manage authorization expirations and renewals
- Coordinate with therapy team and insurance companies to ensure smooth authorization processes
- Communicate with parents and caregivers regarding insurance coverage and authorizations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of authorizations and related documentation
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience working in healthcare authorizations or related field
- Knowledge of insurance policies and procedures
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
