Under general supervision, repairs and maintains machinery and equipment such as motors, pneumatic equipment, conveyor systems and production machines.

A day in the Life :
- Assist Sr. Maintenance technicians, when necessary, in the installation or repairs of utilities systems and equipment
- Follow quality standards in accordance with company policy and cGMP and FDA requirements.
- Performs small tasks associated with facility or equipment work orders.
Keys to Success : Education
Education
- High School diploma or equivalent minimally required.
- Trades certificates / diplomas or degrees preferred but experience can be substituting in lieu of the certificates / degrees.
Experience
- 1 year of proven maintenance experience and / or combination training in the following trades : electrical, electronics / controls, mechanical, machine shop or plumbing.
- Electrical / Automation experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Ability to work well with minimal direction.
- Ability to use hand and machine shop tools. Ability to train others by technical means and by example.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to efficiently present information in one-on-one and small group situations and to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to address practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Able to recognize problems developing, not just occurring.
- PC skills required including Microsoft Office
- Ability to work in fast paced production environment under high volume / high quality standards.
- Ability to work overtime, off shifts and call ins as required.
- Work well within a team environment and ability to work independently, self-motivated.
