What will you do?
- Direct responsibility for QMS improvements and harmonization across CDD.
- Leading implementation and improvement of the latest Quality methodologies and thinking across division and business.
- Further establish and improve all aspects of the Quality Management System from strategic planning to hands-on implementation on topics such as Quality Assurance, Quality Inspections, auditing, document management, NCR/ CAPA resolution, internal/External audits etc.
- Build a "Problem Solving" mentality within the Quality Engineering team to drive RCCA for Quality issues that will drive long-term improvements.
- Operate successfully in a matrix organization and own Quality matters across Functions and Departments to resolve issues and improve operational performance.
- Implement and drive modern Quality methodologies and principles around Process Control and Predictive Quality.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance through Internal Audits, Good Catch and Focused Gemba walks.
- Mentor Quality team for best in Class.
- Create Development Plan for direct reports and planning for succession.
- Use Thermo Fisher Scientific's PPI Business System to drive efficiency and continuous improvement across the Quality function.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a scientific field
- Training in Lean Sigma/Six Sigma processes. Green or Black belt certification preferred
- A minimum of 5 years of Quality experience in a regulated industry
- A minimum of 3 years of experience managing, leading and developing a Quality team, preferably in multiple locations internationally
- Proven experience with Quality Management Systems implementation and improvement
- Proven experience as a "Champion for Quality"
- Experience working with and managing multiple projects and teams simultaneously across a matrixed organization
- A decisive leader who is able to encourage and empower teams across cultures and geographies and can clearly articulate goals and objectives
- Extensive knowledge of Problem-Solving techniques such as 8D, DMAIC, PPS, A3, etc.
- Strong relationship building and persuasion skills with the ability to empower and influence others.
- ASQ Quality Manager certified; ASQ Lead Auditor training is preferred
- Ability to travel (both domestic and internationally) and interface successfully with external customers and commercial teams
