Overview
Thermo King of Houston is Now Hiring a Staff Accountant at 3323 Jane Lane, Dallas TX 75247.Responsible for areas relating to accounting functions and financial reporting for Thermo King and its subsidiaries.
Responsibilities
- Month end close processes including journal entry preparation and posting, month end accruals and account analysis.
- Financial statement and individual account analysis.
- Prepare monthly sales/use tax returns.
- Monitor, analyze and reconcile sales/use tax accounts.
- Respond to inquiries from the Executive Staff regarding financial results and special reporting requests.
- Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
- Maintain a strong, personal commitment to the safety culture.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills required.
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, meet deadlines and be able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
Education/Experience:
- BA/BS in Accounting or Finance is required.
- CPA is preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in accounting/financial reporting is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite applications is preferred.
- Experience with automated accounting systems is preferred.
