What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Assembler position at Thinklogical a Belden Brand?

Production Assemblers are key members of the Production team. Contributing to the Assembly Department by assembling Thinklogical products according to blueprints and assembly procedures with precision and quality. They will build products in a timely manner to meet the production schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build various electronics units, typically installing electronic circuit boards into sheet metal enclosures, installing harnesses and applying labels
  • Assemble units using hand tools and small power tools
  • Read blueprints and follow assembly instructions
  • Assemble products in a timely fashion as decided by the supervisor and lead according to the production schedule
  • Follow instructions, take direction and be flexible as situations change
  • Use a computer on a basic level. (Use PDFs, print serial numbers, navigate windows menus to find files)
  • During daily morning meeting discuss the status and progress of the department and discuss any issues that arise
  • Communicate daily with the Assembly Lead and Production Supervisor on status of orders
  • Identify problems with and/or processes and communicate them to the Assembly Lead and/or Production Supervisor
  • ESD (Electrostatic Discharge): Knowledge of proper PCB board / component handling and ESD prevention practices. Basic ESD theory
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace adhering to 5s standards
  • Observe health and safety standards
  • Work in other departments as needed

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Be able to communication in a clear manor and be able to work alone and in a group setting
  • Be able to follow work instructions (verbal, assembly manual, blueprints)
  • Dexterity, able to handle hand tools, both manual and cordless screwdriver
  • Be able to understand basic instructions and simple blueprints
  • Focus: able to sit or stand at workstation for extended times
  • Be able to lift 50lbs
  • Be able to function well in a fast-paced environment
  • Typically works in a team as an individual contributor under ongoing supervision

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
