Major Responsibilities
- Builds and maintains strong customer relationships.
- Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their service needs; identifies and suggests services to meet those needs by applying knowledge of Third Coast’s capabilities.
- Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolving any issues that may arise post-sale.
- Applies knowledge of the company’s services to match the needs of customers.
- Identifies and locates new clients through a variety of methods including networking and cold calling.
- Interfaces with Third Coast employees in functional areas including but not limited to Production, Customer Service, Accounts Receivable and Shipping to meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Facilitates the customer onboarding process internally through introduction and explanation of services to be performed for customers.
- Interacts with and assists Sales Management to develop targets and achieve new sales.
- Periodically prepares and reports on results, status of accounts, and leads to Sales Management.
- Provides information, detailed proposals and quotes, credit terms, and other bid specifications to customers.
- Completes and updates sales related paperwork.
- Incorporates the use of all required PPE where applicable and promotes good daily safety practices and habits.
- Maintains price discipline within accounts, including but not limited to annual price reviews and repricing actions where appliable.
- Monitors sales volumes and margins to forecast and identifies opportunity targets for maximum volume sales and profitability.
- Monitors, gathers, and reports market intelligence both internally and externally.
- With minimum supervision, prioritizes work and drives results.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree required, or proven track record in this industry.
Work Experience
- Over 5 years industrial sales experience.
Knowledge And Skills
- Strong drive and proven track record for results through lead generation, follow up and cold calling– A “Hunter” or “Go-Getter”
- Knowledge of and experience in building a sales strategy and increasing a sales pipeline
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong negotiation and relationship development skills
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders
- Aptitude for understanding customer business needs and proactively designing solutions to address the opportunities
- Strong relationship builder and connector
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Travel to meet with customers or potential customers will be required. (20 – 40%)
