Step into a pivotal leadership role with our dynamic team as a Sales and Operations Manager for Thompson & Thompson Service Group’s Plumbing Department. This role does NOT require plumbing experience but necessitates a strong background in profit and loss (P&L) management, sales, and achieving budget goals. The Plumbing Manager will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth, optimizing operations, and ensuring profitability within our plumbing division. What will your job look like?
Supervise all Plumbing activities
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth and expand market presence
Lead a team of sales professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to achieve sales targets
Cultivate a dynamic and ethical Sales Culture that is hyper focused on delivering value to customers
Manage the P&L for the plumbing division, monitoring revenue, expenses, and profitability margins
Develop and manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to track performance against goals
Analyze labor numbers, material costs, and overhead expenses to identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement
Implement pricing strategies and cost-control measures to maximize profitability while maintaining competitive pricing
Conduct regular individual and departmental coaching and Performance Reviews
Oversee department dispatchers and ensure right techs get sent to right calls
Create technician work schedule
Review and approve department payroll
Handle all Customer related Requests, Concerns, etc.
What do you need?
Proven experience in profit and loss (P&L) management, sales, and achieving budget goals
Strong analytical skills with experience in tracking labor numbers, financial analysis, and performance metrics
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport effectively
Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with a track record of motivating teams and driving results
Ability to analyze data for trends, devise creative solutions, exercise independent judgment, and make appropriate decisions that impact outcomes
Keen ability to work accurately, efficiently, and manage multiple tasks
Proven ability to gain the buy-in of teams to company values, safety procedures, and overall policies
Must be familiar with using technology systems in an office environment
Certifications or training in sales management, operations management, or related fields would be a plus!
