Job Description
Responsibilities:
· Obtains blood specimens by venipuncture. Draws blood in proper tube. Accurately labels and records all test tubes. Collects high volume of urines for toxicology testing. Greets, meets, and explains procedure to patient and maintain professional relationship. Use customer service skills at all times. Follows up on any concerns.
Collected urine samples for toxicology testing to be processed and sent to the lab
· Will provide feedback on all collections to applicable provider(s) and laboratory director
· Instructs each patient on the collection process, answering any questions they may have
· Maintain an adequate inventory level of supplies
· Responsible for ensuring proper completion of required paperwork. Ensures applicable supporting documentation is submitted to the home office in a timely manner
· Ability to convey issues or concerns the client may have to the appropriate department manager
· Ability to adapt quickly in fast paced environments
· Completes end of day packaging for samples from the laboratory for shipping to the lab
· Provide the highest quality of service to our clients on a daily ongoing basis
