Fleet Mechanic
The Fleet Mechanic is responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing problems, and repairing all equipment within landscape services sector of our business. Their main areas of focus will be ensuring that equipment is working properly, safely, and ready for use when needed. It also requires that feedback is given to our teams as to correct areas that may be causing downtime for equipment and in-efficiencies. This position will work with our team members to ensure that all company assets are maintained in a safe and cost-effective manner to meet all OEM, State and Federal DOT requirements. Accurate record keeping is required for this role.
Employer will provide worker at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform job. Required uniform provided and transportation is provided for on the job travel.
Mechanic position requires the following:
- Ability to perform preventative and routine, unscheduled, and emergency maintenance activities
- Maintain detailed records of vehicle/equipment servicing and inspections
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe working environment
- Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to exercise sound judgement, discretions, and tact
- Ability to ready, write, and speak English fluently, Spanish a plus
- Accurate record keeping
- Be adaptable to a variety of assignments and settings
- Able to work independently for long periods of time without direct supervision
- Keep supervisors informed of status and progress
- Experience in small equipment is preferred but not required
- 1 years of experience in the area of mechanic services is required
- Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and meet physical/body position requirements as stated by the Americans with Disabilities Act Section 4.0.
Salary : $17 - $25
