Summary

Coastal Financial Group, an established financial services practice with Thrivent is looking for a part-time Office Professional. We’re looking to hire a motivated person to grow with us. If you have a heart for service and a passion for helping others, we’d like to connect with you.

Position Summary:
The Office Professional position is critical for providing leverage to the advisor’s time. This role keeps the daily operations of the practice running by utilizing Thrivent computer systems and programs in support of client relations and planning activities of the Financial Advisors, supports securities and insurance-related tasks and other administrative tasks as assigned.

This position is on site in Pismo Beach, CA. Compensation is $22-30/hr dependent upon experience. Hours will be 30 hours per week during regular business hours.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Handles incoming telephone calls and responds to requests for information
  • Performs routine administrative duties such as maintaining office supplies and processing mail
  • Prepares or coordinates the preparation of routine correspondence, reports, and special projects typically of a routine nature
  • Supports projects, administration of various programs, and processing functions as needed
  • Assists with driving client facing activity by scheduling meetings with clients on behalf of the practice’s Financial Advisors
  • Updates Salesforce with client contact and preference information
  • Assists Practice Support Associate in preparation and follow up for client meetings
  • Works closely with Financial Advisor to complete assigned tasks
  • Completes other miscellaneous tasks as assigned

*Additional responsibilities may be assigned in accordance with business needs

Position Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated customer service orientation/experience, 2 years preferred
  • Strong technical computer aptitude and knowledge of business tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce) or ability to learn
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain a high quality of work while experiencing frequent interruptions
  • Ability to maintain integrity of sensitive/confidential information

As part of Coastal Financial recruiting/hiring/contracting process, a verification of a candidate's background will be made to complete the process. Fingerprints will be required as part of FINRA registration process for submission to the Federal Bureau of Investigation for review against nationwide fingerprint records.
