What are the responsibilities and job description for the Analyst, Taxable Fixed Income Metrics and Analytics position at TIAA?
The Analyst, Taxable Fixed Income Metric and Analytics job is responsible for providing quantitative support and expertise to the broader Nuveen Fixed Income team, including risk analytics and performance reporting, as well as supporting RFP requests from the client portfolio management team. The analyst's job will also include the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and communicate with individuals both within our investment management group, as well as middle and back-office teams, to help design reports and implement solutions to support the group's investment strategies. This job builds reports and conducts analysis to help navigate multiple systems and consolidate data efficiently and to support the overall investment and research process.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop and run reporting to support the investment and research process.
- Navigate multiple systems and consolidate data efficiently.
- Support fixed income product and investment strategy and development by developing reporting and analysis to support the investment and research process.
- Supporting marketing and business development activities as needed
- Designs, develops and executes analytics for investment portfolios and transactions for clients to meet specific requirements.

Required Qualifications:
- 2 years' data analytics experience
- Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 years' data analytics experience
- Prior Financial Services Industry (although not necessarily front office) experience
- Fixed Income experience
- Experience with FactSet, Bloomberg PORT (Barclays POINT), or other portfolio analytics platforms
- Project management experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with a programming language, Excel VBA, Tableau
- Strong communication and organization skills
Base Pay Range: $69,400/yr. - $115,600/yr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
