Location: near Long Island, NY (30-45 minute commute)
Base: $130-140K DOE
Bonus: Up to 12% based on performance

This urgent and exclusive opportunity puts your expertise as a Change Agent and experience in a Center of Excellence (COE) at the forefront. You will drive transformative HR initiatives, ensuring seamless employee relations, communication, training, development, compensation, recruitment, staff planning, and performance management. Key ResponsibilitiesCenter of Excellence (COE) Leadership
  • Strategic Innovator: Lead COE operations, ensuring excellence in HR practices across the organization.
  • Talent Development: Utilize COE resources to implement cutting-edge talent development and management strategies.
  • Best Practices: Establish and promote best practices within the COE to drive organizational success and innovation.
Change Management
  • Change Agent: Spearhead complex change initiatives, guiding stakeholders through transitions and fostering a culture of adaptability.
  • Influence Leader: Lead and influence stakeholders at all levels, including those resistant to change, ensuring successful implementation of strategic initiatives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Champion continuous improvement by analyzing processes, monitoring effectiveness, and leveraging data for informed decision-making.
Organization Design & Effectiveness
  • Architect of Growth: Partner with management to design organizational structures that foster rapid growth and operational excellence.
  • Proactive Strategist: Anticipate and address organizational needs with innovative strategies for talent assessment, team dynamics, and staffing.
Talent Management / Employee Development
  • Capability Builder: Assess organizational capabilities, identify gaps, and support management in attracting and onboarding top-tier talent.
  • Talent Developer: Forge development plans that ensure continuous growth and future-readiness.
  • HR Planner: Drive HR planning, assessments, and succession reviews with the leadership team.
Compensation
  • Compensation Strategist: Collaborate with the Compensation Team to manage job evaluations, salary ranges, and merit reviews, ensuring competitive and equitable compensation.
Employee Relations
  • Employee Advocate: Analyze and address employment-related issues with proactive action plans that enhance the work environment.
  • Trusted Advisor: Guide managers in engaging employees and resolving conflicts to foster a positive employee experience.
HR Compliance Support
  • Compliance Leader: Implement HR policies and practices to maintain legal and regulatory compliance, including equal employment opportunity, wage and hour laws, and work authorization.
HR Team Management
  • Team Leader: Lead and develop a high-performing HR team, driving organizational and functional excellence aligned with company values.
Company Culture
  • Culture Champion: Collaborate with management to build a positive employee culture, championing diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEI&B) goals.
  • Creative Influencer: Engage and coach diverse stakeholders in innovative ways to support a cohesive and vibrant workplace.
Business Partnership
  • Strategic Partner: Develop and execute short and long-term actions that align with the organization’s strategic direction, balancing business objectives with people initiatives.

What You Need to Succeed
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in HR Management or a related field.
  • Experience: 5-7 years in HR roles, particularly in integrated HR organizations, with manufacturing and multi-site experience.
  • Certifications: PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus.
  • Legal Acumen: Strong knowledge of state and federal employment laws.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and HRIS software (PeopleSoft, Cornerstone, MS Teams).
  • Conflict Resolution: Expertise in investigating and resolving employee conflicts.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and oral communication abilities, including negotiation and collaboration.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to deliver outstanding solutions.
  • Business Insight: Keen interest in understanding the financial and operational aspects of the business.
  • Innovative Mindset: A passion for continuous improvement and creative problem-solving.
