The Sales Operations Assistant supports overall Tiger Solar sales operations and contributes to a successful customer experience by serving as a primary point of contact for our current and future solar energy customers. This role is a liaison to ensure customer expectations are exceeded when working with the Tiger Solar team.
This is a full-time, onsite role based in Staunton OR Charlottesville, Virginia reporting to our Sales Operations Manager. Typical schedule Monday - Friday, 8AM to 5PM.
What You'll be Doing...
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries through in-bound phone calls, messages, and contacts
- Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers always; answer questions and concerns with professionalism, troubleshooting customer issues
- Effectively utilize company phone platform and company software
- Serve as a liaison between customers, branch managers, and sales, ensuring effective communication and timely follow-up for in-bound calls, service calls and other customer work needs
- Compose and edit email messages, letters, memos, invoices, meeting minutes, proposal content for various team members when needed
- Develop, maintain, and deliver excellent “Tiger Way” customer service to internal and external customers
- Retrieve, analyze, and consolidate information from multiple sources
- Develop and maintain cursory knowledge of solar renewable energy and Tiger Solar projects
- Perform routine administrative duties in support of the department or office, such as scheduling meetings, booking travel, coordinating conference calls, organizing, and filing documents, submitting reimbursements/invoicing, and responding to basic inquiries
- Manage research projects on individuals, clients, and organizations for sales outreach
- Ensure timely and effective completion of projects, initiatives, and other operations tasks as needed
- May encounter confidential information and must maintain the highest levels of confidentiality and data security
- As part of a high growth, fast moving team, multiple other opportunities and responsibilities will evolve as we expand

Requirements
Your Comfort Zone and Experience
1-2 years’ experience in direct customer service
4-year college degree preferred but not required
High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfortable using computers
Familiarity with geography to support five branches within four states
Willing to learn and become familiar with the Solar Energy industry
Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task
Outstanding interpersonal skills; able to interact well with others in a team environment, building and maintaining strong professional relationships
Complex problem solving and organizational skills
Displays a positive, “can-do” attitude and excellent customer services skills
