What are the responsibilities and job description for the Contract Specialist position at Tighe & Bond?

The Contract Specialist will be hired for our Westfield, MA Headquarters in a hybrid work arrangement and will support the company’s business lines to review, prepare, negotiate, and administer the full lifecycle of all professional service agreements.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years contract review, development, and negotiation experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, legal, or related field is preferred, however, relevant business and contracts experience will be considered
  • Solid understanding of risk management, assessment, and planning
  • Prior experience in a professional engineering environment is preferred, knowledge of EJCDC and AIA Agreements is a plus
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment, love challenges and details, be resourceful, and have great organizational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local professional services procurement regulations is a plus
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills necessary

Responsibilities:

  • Assist technical teams with contract development and management
  • Review client contracts to identify risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with requirements
  • Develop client agreements and ensure the timely delivery of contracts/agreements to support our growing client base
  • Remain current in knowledge of contract regulations, risk management issues, and conflict resolution trends
