Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional massage and body treatment services to members and guests.
- Greet and welcome members and guests to the Spa.
- Ensure proper precautions and contradictions for massage before every session; explain methods and applicable techniques to meet customer needs and preferences.
- Observe customer reactions to massage and modify treatment as necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity related to age and gender during client interactions.
- Report any unusual customer interactions to the supervisor promptly.
- Communicate clearly with members/guests and spa staff to achieve desired results.
- Answer queries and resolve service issues.
- Perform support tasks associated with providing services, including set-up and break down of treatment rooms, stocking and inventory of supplies, and stocking and removal of linen.
- Assist in maintaining orderliness and cleanliness of the workplace.
- Perform services in adherence to safety practices and principles.
- Ensure proper accounting for lost and found items and deliver to Housekeeping.
- Report any maintenance deficiencies for proper resolution.
- Contribute to team effectiveness by offering suggestions and participating as an active member of the team.
- Demonstrate courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with the public and staff, promoting a harmonious workplace environment.
- Knowledge of principles, practices, and techniques of massage therapy.
- Familiarity with policies and procedures of the department.
- Proficiency in correct business English, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to interact with individuals from various socio-economic, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds.
- Strong customer service skills, focusing on providing excellent service.
- Ability to organize work, set priorities, and meet critical deadlines.
- Mobility to work in a massage therapy setting and use standard office equipment.
- Stamina to sit, stand, and bend for extended periods.
- Agility to perform massage therapy over an extended period.
- Strength to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
