Summary

We are seeking a skilled and professional Massage Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional massage and body treatment services to our members and guests, ensuring a relaxing and rejuvenating experience

Employment Type: Part Time Seasonal

Start Date: ASAP

Pay Rate: $13.65/hour tips

Schedule: Flexible schedule. Must be able to work weekends and holidays when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional massage and body treatment services to members and guests.
• Greet and welcome members and guests to the Spa.
• Ensure proper precautions and contradictions for massage before every session; explain methods and applicable techniques to meet customer needs and preferences.
• Observe customer reactions to massage and modify treatment as necessary.
• Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity related to age and gender during client interactions.
• Report any unusual customer interactions to the supervisor promptly.
• Communicate clearly with members/guests and spa staff to achieve desired results.
• Answer queries and resolve service issues.
• Perform support tasks associated with providing services, including set-up and break down of treatment rooms, stocking and inventory of supplies, and stocking and removal of linen.
• Assist in maintaining orderliness and cleanliness of the workplace.
• Perform services in adherence to safety practices and principles.
• Ensure proper accounting for lost and found items and deliver to Housekeeping.
• Report any maintenance deficiencies for proper resolution.
• Contribute to team effectiveness by offering suggestions and participating as an active member of the team.
• Demonstrate courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with the public and staff, promoting a harmonious workplace environment.
  
  

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Physical/Mental Requirements

• Knowledge of principles, practices, and techniques of massage therapy.
• Familiarity with policies and procedures of the department.
• Proficiency in correct business English, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to interact with individuals from various socio-economic, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds.
• Strong customer service skills, focusing on providing excellent service.
• Ability to organize work, set priorities, and meet critical deadlines.
• Mobility to work in a massage therapy setting and use standard office equipment.
• Stamina to sit, stand, and bend for extended periods.
• Agility to perform massage therapy over an extended period.
• Strength to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
