This position will create and implement a training delivery strategy for the organization (front line operations and staff). The incumbent will also lead and manage training/learning initiatives and projects for the organization for both salaried and hourly employees.
Hybrid work schedule is available.
Responsibilities
- Manages the Learning Management System (LMS) and ensures delivery of appropriate solutions that result in positive change in knowledge, skills, and behaviors.
- Coordinates and assists with the design of training programs for all levels of the organization including development of instructional programs and learning activities.
- Partners with outside consultants and negotiates cost-effective training programs as required.
- Creates and facilitates workshops and courses for targeted training needs for business areas and/or functional departments.
- Serve as the key HR contact for the apprenticeship programs. As part of the Apprentice Council, ensure vendor programs/offerings are in compliance with program goals and objectives. Assist with administering the apprentice program.
- Serve as the HR quality representative with primary responsibility to ensure that training systems meet and reflect the Quality System and its requirements.
- Accountable to ensure all training records and documents are accurately recorded (in the LMS) and reflective of business requirements. Audits organizational adherence to all position-based training plans. Works with department coordinators to insure adequate understanding and implementation of model.
- Manage federal and state grant funding process for training (e.g., Ohio Tech Cred Program).
- Creates and manages metrics around training needs, completion, and compliance.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Human Resources, Engineering, or related area of study with 7 years of relevant experience, 2 of which include managing an LMS, or;
- Masters degree in Business, Human Resources, Engineering, or related area of study with 5 years of relevant experience, 2 of which include managing an LMS
Preferred:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Human Resources, Engineering, or related area of study with 9 years of relevant experience, 5 of which include managing an LMS, or;
- Masters degree in Business, Human Resources, Engineering, or related area of study with 6 years of relevant experience, 5 of which include managing an LMS
- Experience with instructional design and/or apprentice program management.
Travel 10%
