Dental assistants:

Assertive and confident giving patient instructions

Be able to work in 2 rooms

Great using Primescan and temporary making skills

Familiar with implants, aligners, crown & bridge

Multi-tasking and being comfortable with change mid-procedure if necessary

Good 4-hand technique

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, taking and developing dental x-rays, maintaining patient records, and ensuring a clean and sterile environment.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including passing instruments, suctioning, and providing patient comfort
- Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist
- Perform basic laboratory duties such as pouring impressions and fabricating temporary crowns
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic medical documentation systems (e.g., Epic)
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office's appointment calendar

Experience:
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant preferred but not required
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
- Familiarity with medical documentation practices and HIPAA regulations
- Proficiency in taking dental x-rays and operating medical imaging equipment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
