Job Title: Revenue Accountant

Salary Range: $70,000-$85,000
Job Summary:
The ECM Accountant will oversee the account receivable for the company’s ECM program, manage grant spending and reporting for ECM grants and assists in the preparation of financial statements and supporting documents. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to, managing account receivable, payor reconciliations, grant spending tracking, grant reporting and reconciliation of various general ledger accounts, assistance in implementation of new finance-related systems. This position will play a critical role in month-end close and will be cross-trained to work with various departments to carry out various account and finance functions. We are seeking for an eager individual that is looking to be part of a rapidly growing company.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for review of payment reconciliation for payors and booking of accrued revenue. This individual will assist in the monthly financial calls with all health plans to evaluate open account receivable.
- Responsible for monthly payor reconciliations in collaboration with the data department.
- Onboards new health plans to the company by attending finance related trainings, setting up monthly meetings to discuss financials, work with our claims department to ensure claim billing is set-up.
- Responsible for the review and analysis of account receivable, bad debt, accrued revenue and liabilities on an on-going basis. This individual will also work with the team to develop a analytical model that will assist in this evaluation.
- Responsible for maintaining multiple schedules to track contract rate changes and ensure correct rate adjustments on a monthly basis.
- Prepares and posts monthly standard and adjusting journal entries. Prepares journal entries to record financial transactions to the general ledger such as service contract accruals, allocations and intercompany activities.
- Review contracts and work closely with the revenue cycle and data department to gain a deep understanding of the revenue model for each contract.
- This individual will work closely with the Director of Finance and CFO on grant allocations, reporting and record keeping.
- Review assigned general ledger accounts for propriety and reasonableness, investigate questionable transactions, form reasonable conclusions, make recommendations to Accounting Management and prepare correcting journal entries as appropriate. Prepares monthly reconciliation of accounts receivable. Identifies, researches, and corrects account discrepancies.
- Assist in the review of the balance sheet activities including helping to create, improve and conduct detailed reconciliations that will support process improvement and standardization.
- Actively support internal and external audits.
- Maintains integrity of internal controls processes and procedures by completing the recording of accounting transactions.
- Ad-hoc reporting and special projects as required by management.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Experience: 4 years of experience in the accounting or finance field. Preferred if experience is healthcare related.
- Experience: The following experience is preferred: Healthcare, grant management and auditing.
- Language: Fluent in English (written and verbal).
- Skills required:
- Required: Experienced in GAAP accounting standards.
- Required: Proficient with Microsoft Outlook and associated products.
- Highly Preferred: QuickBooks & NetSuite experience.
- Preferred: Experience with bill.com and Divvy or Concur products.
Physical Requirements: Physical demands associated with office work and driving, including but not limited to:
- Consistently operating a computer and other office equipment such as a telephone, calculator, copy machine, and printer.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.
- Must be able to move around the office or community 50% of the time.
- Frequently moving or carrying office equipment weighing up to 15 pounds across offices.
- Ability to operate a vehicle and/or travel to meetings and different office locations as required or requested.
