The Contract Specialist is expected to perform contract drafting, review, revision, negotiation and interpretation.  This role will have direct contact with internal business stakeholders globally and must be able to effectively deal with and negotiate with contract parties and their internal or external counsel or other third parties.  The successful candidate must have experience with contract negotiation, and be able to exercise reasonable judgment and decision-making, working independently or with attorneys in the Legal Department, as appropriate. 

Responsibilities:

• Review, analyze, revise, draft and negotiate commercial agreements and statements of work in support of IT, marketing, logistics, e-commerce and other business functions, including direct negotiation with vendors and contract parties and/or their internal and external counsel
• Coordinate negotiations with internal business clients and make recommendations to internal business clients regarding contract negotiations and contractual terms, including planning and development of negotiation strategy and applying precedent
• Assist with updates to standard contract and other form documents and related contract materials
• Handle a high volume of projects and prioritize with the support of supervising attorney.
• Assist with special projects, as needed

Who We Are Looking For: You.

• Bachelor's Degree required
• 4 to 6 years of demonstrated ability in contract drafting, negotiation and review
• Experience working directly with attorneys and/or other third parties in both advisory and negotiation capacities
• Excellent written communication skills, with clear and concise drafting skills and attention to detail
• Articulate and connect with business clients and third parties
• Excellent judgment as to business and legal matters, including appropriate escalation of issues
• Ability to perform due diligence to understand the business objectives and independently resolve challenges to the business objectives
• Highly organized and capable of efficiently balancing multiple projects at the same time, setting appropriate priorities
• Proficient computer skills, including Word and preferably, Excel, and ability to perform online research

This position has a starting salary range of $66,500 to $83,100 per year.

Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
