The TMX Finance® is currently seeking a IT Technician to join our Corporate IT team and support both Corporate and retail stores with in-person and remote troubleshooting of hardware and software issues, replacing defective hardware, installing new software packages based on end user job function. Providing an exceptional support experience for our Team Members, you will use a ticketing system to track requests and repair/resolve issues with desktop and laptop computers, printers and software applications for our Corporate User community. You will also prepare new desktop and laptop computers, which includes installing Windows OS software using imaging tools, updating drivers and installing OS updates, testing and packing equipment for shipment to our Retail Stores as time and workload permits/requires.
Responsibilities
Inventory and prepare new computer systems (computers, monitors, printers, tablets etc.) for shipment to stores.
Inventory and prepare new computer/laptop systems for corporate employees based on onboarding notifications and location.
Create / Maintain / Update PC images working with the Campus Support Team as well as any 3rd Party Partner that assists IT with these functions.
Repair returned defective desktop/laptop computers and place them back into warehouse inventory for future use.
Utilize a ticketing system to track and support incidents and requests for corporate and retail.
White glove service for VIPs in a corporate environment.
Provide excellent customer service in a professional manner.
Work with outsourced 3rd party partners on issues and projects.
Physical demands for this position frequently include: the ability to remain in a stationary position, move about freely inside and occasionally outside of the office, and the operation of mechanical controls, such as a keyboard.
This is a full-time role that requires in-person attendance during normal business hours.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing desktop/laptop computers, tablets, printers and scanners
- Must be able to troubleshoot and repair desktop/laptop computers and printers
- Requires troubleshooting skills to determine and isolate hardware or software problems
- Must be proficient in removing and replacing computer hardware including memory modules, HDD & CD/DVD drives and power supplies
- Demonstrate knowledge of Windows 10 OS configurations including installing and updating drivers, software updates and configuring basic networking
- Must be able to multi-task and manage time with professional and courteous attitude
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- A , MCP certification or associate degree a plus
