Job Summary

The Campus Enrollment Counselor is responsible for recruitment efforts on campus, planning recruitment events for the college, and actively recruiting, tracking, and assisting the prospective students who visit the campus (traditional and non-traditional). The Campus Enrollment Counselor will also aid the Dual Enrollment Coordinator to better serve our dual enrollment population.

Job Duties

  • 25% - • Serve as the point of contact for on-campus student meetings, walk-ups, and any campus tours scheduled by primary and secondary schools in the region. • Manage tour scheduling system by providing an initial response, clear instructions, and follow up after each event. • Provide follow-up data on events and visits to Director of Recruitment. - (Essential)
  • 25% - • Assist Dual Enrollment Coordinator with dual enrollment processing, registration, and other functions. • Recruit for the dual/joint enrollment program with high school students for assigned territory. • Track assigned applicants from application to registration, and assist with all steps in process as needed. - (Essential)
  • 10% - • Provide initial counseling to prospective student and applicants. - (Essential)
  • 10% - • Utilize CRM software to ensure applicants are receiving needed communication from the college. - (Essential)
  • 10% - • Serve as resource for varied campus operations and functions; serve as liaison between recruitment department and other departments and organizations. • Assist with admissions functions, including application processing, as needed. - (Marginal)
  • 10% - • Work with Director of Recruitment to perform comprehensive inquiry and application follow-up functions. • Assist with the facilitation of recruitment and communication plans targeted to specific groups of prospective students. - (Marginal)
  • 5% - • Perform other duties as assigned by the vice president of student services, director of admissions, or recruitment coordinator. - (Marginal)
  • 5% - • Represent the college in professional organizations. • Serve on college committees and assist with other functions as assigned. - (Marginal)

Minimum Qualifications

• B.S. degree in related area or Associates Degree with two to three years related experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and to travel throughout 10-county service area.
• Adequate data entry skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous work experience in college recruitment or student services environment.
• Knowledge of TBR policies.
• Previous marketing/public relations experience.
• Previous work experience in high-traffic client service environment.
• Experience with the BANNER computer system or CRM software.

• Outstanding interpersonal communication skills including strong written and verbal skills.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Demonstrated follow-up and follow-through ability.
• Commitment to community college education; strong desire to assist community college students.
• Proven team player with initiative.
• Proven adaptability skills as well as ability and willingness to perform multiple tasks.
• The ability to work independently with limited guidance; self-starter.

Pay Rate: $34,762 - $43,453 Annual salary depending on eligible experience which is defined by the current compensation plan.
