Job Description Overview:
The role of the Data Analyst Intern is to examine previous and current data related to the organization and present the statistics in a variety of reports. This role reports directly to our VP of Operations and will be responsible for interpreting and recording data daily. This is a part-time, non-exempt, hourly opportunity within a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
Availability Requirements:
- Flexibility to log data every morning, before noon, to achieve 20-25 hours weekly (Days flexible)
- Remote, with the flexibility to meet in person as needed
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Identifies patterns and trends in complex data sets
- Understands the statistics found and able to convert to terminology easily-interpreted by department heads and clients
- Generates reports with the information collected and presents to the coordinating division
- Filters and organizes material across multiple databases to be easily accessible when needed
- Identifies potential issues and relays such information to the appropriate lead
- Assist in data mining to help in data visualization and simplification
- Ability to interpret data to draw conclusions and present solutions for improvement
- Assist with any ad hoc tasks and duties as needed
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to extract value from data
- Working knowledge of Google Suite, HubSpot, Tableau, and MindBody
- Possess strong critical thinking and collaborates well with others when coming to a solution
- Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time
- High attention to detail in a fast paced environment
- Meet daily and weekly deadlines
Education & Experience:
- Current undergraduate or Master’s student pursuing a degree in computer science, data analytics, statistics, mathematics, or related field
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related field is preferred or equivalent experience tenure
