As a UX Designer at Tommy John you will be working on some of the most exciting projects in the business. We are looking for a designer with experience in designing unique solutions to user journeys and challenges on-site. The ideal candidate will thrive in an environment that requires strong problem-solving skills, autonomy and independence, coupled with a communicative, collaborative approach to getting things done. As a UX Designer at Tommy John you will be highly analytical, making data driven decisions and defining best practices. This role reports to the UX Strategy & Design Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Research interaction design and other technology trends related to UX
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, product manager, developers, and designers
- Create user flows, journey maps, diagrams, wireframes, prototypes, and detailed visual designs
- Clearly communicate designs through prototypes, documentation, and presentations
- Work through design features from concept to launch
- Incorporate interaction design & visual design as a part of a multidisciplinary team
- Advocate for the customer and follow user-centered design principles
- Craft user research plans based on business and project requirements
- Develop screeners to identify target users
- Plan and execute usability studies – from recruiting, test scripts, moderating and report writing
- Present findings to team members and executives in the company
- Iterate design solutions based on stakeholder & user feedback
- Work with and maintain our Design Language System
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in UX, Interaction Design or related discipline
- 3-5 years of UX/UI experience in an e-commerce apparel or premium brand company; Experience in graphic design/motion graphics, a plus
- Ability to create wireframes, hi-fidelity visual designs and interactive mocks
- Excellent attention to detail and visual & interaction design skills
- Proficiency in a variety of design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite
- Proficiency in prototyping with tools such as InVision, Axure, Flinto, FramerJS
- Understanding of HTML5, JS, CSS, Ruby on Rails
- Strong portfolio of work demonstrating conceptual, UX and visual design with a focus on cross device and responsive interfaces
