Job summary
Responsible for ensuring an extraordinary customer store experience while operating cash registers, collecting payment and providing customer service assistance on the floor.
Summary of essential job functions
- Immediately greets all customers and ensures customer satisfaction
- Accurately operates cash register, collects payment
- Ability to ring minimum speed of 30 items per minute
- Anticipates customer needs and answer all questions and requests thoroughly, including assistance with store layout, service and activities
- Basic knowledge of pricing and products
- Detailed knowledge of produce codes
- Provide suggestions and product recommendations to customers
- Ensure all customer and phone inquiries and pages are handled with appropriate telephone etiquette.
- Provides support to Grocery Department for stocking food, packing/pricing products and merchandise
- Complete specials projects and other duties as assigned
