Role Summary
The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, increase market share, and ultimately increase sales. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing marketing data, managing budgets, and staying up-to-date with marketing trends and best practices.
- Collaborate in the development of business strategies and growth objectives as a member of the Top Seedz leadership team.
- Develop and execute marketing activities for D2C and B2B channels in order to meet or exceed aggressive sales growth objectives.
- Develop and execute marketing activities, an omni channel strategy to increase market share and brand awareness that align with overall company goals and sales targets.
- Gather, analyze, and present brand, competitor insights, trends, and data.
- Measure and report the performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight and assess against goals.
- Manage Top Seedz digital presence: consumer facing website, customer database, email strategy, blog, community management across multiple social platforms, Google search, paid search.
- Manage development of the monthly newsletter and all collateral.
- Manage and measure performance of our D2C and B2B marketplace, including Shopify, Amazon, Walmart, Faire, and Mable.
- Community management including affiliate marketing, award application, brand activation, event management, giveaways, surveys, and loyalty programs.
- Oversee copywriting for Top Seedz’ content outputs such as newsletter, signage, bylines and other marketing collateral ensuring all messaging is consistent.
- CPG product management including packaging design and updates, product listings & descriptions, pricing, product placement, and more.
- Provide forecasts, reports, marketing intelligence, and decision support information to optimize sales activities and management business reviews
What you Bring
- Bachelor in business, marketing or related discipline.
- 5 years professional experience in marketing, social media or digital role, agency and / or VC experience a plus.
- Experience and/or working knowledge of the food retail industry, for example with a large supermarket or grocery chain is highly desirable.
- Ability to develop marketing campaigns and promotions.
- Working knowledge of current trends in the food industry and the ability to react quickly to a changing environment.
- Outstanding writing skills and experience drafting long and short-form content, headlines and social posts.
- Mastery and technical understanding of social platforms for posting and analysis.
- Experience using social/digital tolls such as Facebook Business Manager, Google Ads, Hootsuite, SEMrush or similar
