What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Coordinator position at TOPS LLC?
Position Summary:
This position will be responsible for implementing and supporting a positive safety culture in the Carlsbad, NM operating region. The candidate will effectively lead a high-performance team, provide safety and compliance support to operations personnel. This includes field safety observations, audits, safety compliance, safety meetings, and updating policies/procedures as necessary.

Since 1994, TOPS specializes in providing low horsepower natural gas compression to a variety of West Texas based production companies. Principal Duties:
· With the support of the safety team, develop and coordinate safety policies across the organization.
· Track and maintain safety statistics and input into required safety tracking programs.
· Evaluate current safety/environmental policies and make recommendations for improvement or modification.
· Ensure all employees maintain safety training and have access to proper PPE.
· Provide personnel with all necessary safety training and updates on environmental requirements.
· Respond, investigate, sample, and submit all necessary reports for all fluid spills and coordinate with field operations on all clean-ups/remediation.
· Conduct incident investigations for all injuries, property loss and spills including contractor incidents. Identify root causes and prepare recommendations for corrective actions.
· Ensure EHS compliance with all State, Federal, Local and TOPS LLC policies and regulations.
· Provide EHS leadership for all TOPS LLC employees and contractors.
· Conduct and document contractor EHS audits.
· Must be self-motivated, have strong ethics, ability to work with minimum supervision, have reliable attendance and demonstrate flexible cooperative behavior in the workplace.
· Other duties related to this position will be assigned.
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILLS:
· People oriented and strong leadership mentality required. This is a support role.
· 5 years of experience in gas driven and electric compression or a combination of education and experience.
· Computer skills,
· Ability to effectively work and communicate in a multi-disciplinary team environment. Must have excellent verbal and communication skills.
· Effective team player who takes active role in team responsibilities.
· Self-motivated, strong ethics and ability to work with minimal supervision.
· Background and experience managing safety programs.

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
