Job Details:
DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY! Get hired on directly by our client from your first day, no contract period with TOPS.
Daylight Shift: $19.45, Daylight: 6am to 2pm
Afternoon Shift:$20.43, Afternoon: 2pm to 10pm
Night Shift: $20.43, Night 10pm to 6am
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Use grinders or chipping hammers to remove excess steel, bevel, round or straighten edges, and remove defects, burrs and holes in order to meet product specifications.
- inspect the final product using production gauges.
- Positions castings on work bench using hoist.
- Visually inspects castings and mark areas for touch up.
- Positions and manually guides grinder or chipping hammer along specified guidelines on edge or surface of castings.
- Use of a measuring device to check tolerance and specs.
- Verify number and type of casting to be prepared for shipment.
- Performs general housekeeping /clean up in work.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent or AS degree
- 1 years of related work experience or AS degree in related field
- Ability to operate jib crane, grinder (willing to train)
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs to move finished units
- Job requires you to pass a pre-employemnt Human Performance Evaluation
- Job requires wearing a respirator
