We are seeking an at-home caregiver to play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care and support to individuals who require assistance in their own residences. This position involves 7 days a week of care, for either a morning/day or evening shift. This role involves a range of responsibilities aimed at enhancing the well-being and quality of life of the clients. Key duties include:
- Personal Care: Assisting clients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting, while respecting their dignity and privacy.
- Medication Management: Administering medications according to prescribed schedules, ensuring proper dosages and documentation.
- Meal Preparation: Planning and preparing nutritious meals, considering dietary restrictions and preferences, and assisting with feeding if required.
- Mobility Support: Helping clients move around safely, providing assistance with walking, transfers, and using mobility aids.
- Health Monitoring: Observing and recording clients' health status, vital signs, and any changes in condition, promptly reporting concerns to medical professionals or family members.
- Companionship: Engaging in conversations, providing emotional support, and participating in activities to foster a positive and stimulating environment.
- Household Tasks: Performing light housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a tidy living space.
- Transportation: Assisting clients with appointments, errands, and social outings, ensuring their safe transportation and timely arrival.
- Communication: Maintaining open and effective communication with clients, their families, and healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care.
- Documentation: Keeping accurate records of care provided, medication administration, and any changes in the client's condition.
- Safety: Identifying and addressing potential hazards in the home environment to ensure a safe and secure setting for the client.
- Flexibility: Adapting to varying schedules and needs, and remaining responsive to changes in the client's condition or care plan.
