Low Voltage Controls Technician

Total Automation Group (TAG) is a premier consultant, supplier, integrator, and installer of high-security vehicle barriers, bollards, gates, beams, and full access control point (ACP) systems in the perimeter security industry.

TAG is one of the very few perimeter security integrators with experience in Artificial Intelligence and our own patented controls and technology.

We are looking for a highly motivated and knowledgeable technician looking to join our team of industry-leading experts.

Duties:

• Install, maintain, and repair low-voltage electrical systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic vehicle barriers and gates.
• Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine appropriate solutions.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective completion of projects.
• Follow safety protocols and adhere to industry standards when working with electrical systems.
• Keep accurate records of work performed, including maintenance schedules and equipment repairs.
• Travelling to job sites for repairs and installations will be required. All travel expenses are paid and per diem is provided.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2-years experience working with industrial controls and low-voltage systems.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and experience in industrial maintenance.
• The ability to read and follow electrical control prints.
• Ability to detect electrical malfunctions using precision measuring instruments.
• Proficient in calibrating and adjusting electrical systems for optimal performance.
• Familiarity with E&I (Electrical & Instrumentation) practices and procedures.
• Experience in field service, preferably in low voltage systems.
• Must be able to obtain a Common Access Card to get into government facilities.
• Must pass a background & drug test.

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
