The Regional Operations Manager plays a critical role at Total Vision. This newly formed group is looking for the right leader to build the partnership affiliation process, infrastructure, and position the company for rapid growth. This individual needs to be an organized leader that can remain focused and achieve results in a very hands-on in a start-up environment. The candidate must possess effective emotional intelligence skills to communicate with a wide variety of team members, both doctors, clinical, and support staff in an extremely fast-paced environment.
CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Holds full P&L Responsibility for optometry locations of oversite
- Works with both optometry Practice Managers and Managing Doctors to deliver exceptional patient experience and deliver superior vision results
- Drives performance through focus on key company initiatives; growing exam counts and improving the patient journey resulting in increased revenue, increasing efficiencies, and reducing practice expenses through increased group buying power and labor management
- Performs regular on-site meetings and monthly Business Reviews with each doctor and team-member
- Responsible for ensuring practice leaders and doctors understand and follow new protocols for frame buying and inventory management
- Partners with HR to successfully recruit and create high-performing teams at each location
- Partners with Finance to ensure seamless accounts payable process and inventory counts are occurring
- Facilitates IT and RCM function centralization
- Works with Purchasing Manager to reduce center-level expenses
- Achieves results by gaining commitment and driving results
- Leads change management process for doctors and team members
- Coaches Practice Managers to host effective daily, weekly, and monthly communication with their teams
- Builds talent and succession planning within practices
- Supports Practice Management Systems conversion to AcuityLogic and Eyefinity EHR by partnering with Systems Manager and Trainer on action plan for systems conversion
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree and four to eight years' related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with running operations for multi-site locations, preferably in healthcare or related patient care services field
- Microsoft Word and Excel proficient
- Detail oriented with effective communication skills are required, both written and verbal
- Expert in change management
- Strong EQ skills – ability to manage both doctor and employee relations
- Expert in problem solving and developing resolution to complex employee situations
- Current in HIPAA and workplace compliance to ensure companywide compliance
- Direct patient care experience preferred
- Able to travel up to 50% within California

- Must be physically able to sit for long periods of time, read a computer screen for long periods of time, reach, and lift up to 20 lbs. Hand dexterity, and eye and hand coordination critical. Employee is subject to inside environmental conditions. Employee’s schedule could include after hour projects, as needed. Travel, as needed.
