What are the responsibilities and job description for the Digital Marketing Communications Lead position at Total Wine & More?
Responsible for all our digital communications channels, including strategy, planning and implementation. This role plays a pivotal role in driving traffic to our channels and planning and executing digital customer communications which enhance our brand and provide considered, creative and effective end-to-end customer journeys.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Driving the strategy and hands-on execution of all digital channels for customer activations, in line with business goals and priorities, including email automated programs
- PPC, Social (paid and organic), & SEO
- Create and execute personalized marketing campaigns and orchestration of marketing channels to drive traffic to our brand’s digital channels, ensuring an on-brand experience
- Managing multiple marketing channels including email, performance media and referral, providing direction on brand objectives and ensuring they deliver in budget and on time
- Reporting performance of digital marketing campaigns and assessing against target ROI and KPIs while providing feedback to senior managers
- Working cross-functionally with marketing, content, and design teams on campaigns
- Perform build of emails in the Salesforce Marketing Cloud/ExactTarget email platform for delivery to customers, maintain and follow campaign production schedules, perform quality assurance, link checks, and track approvals through the approval process, making any corrections
- Being the go-to for all things digital marketing and keep abreast of industry trends to keep Concierge Sales at the forefront of digital marketing for our current and prospective customers
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5 years’ experience in similar digital marketing role
- Bachelor’s Degree Digital Marketing, Journalism, Brand Marketing, Wine Sales Management or related field
- Experience of working directly within email platforms and marketing automation, Facebook business manager and google analytics and comfortable with setting strategies and being hands hands on with the delivery
- Excellent knowledge of current digital environment and trends, understanding of best practice for each channel
- Track record of delivering and executing digital marketing campaigns that meet brand and commercial objectives
- Proven Email Marketing experience, having spent time managing CRM strategy and campaign management – ideally with working experience of email marketing software
- Strong grasp of customer segmentation and techniques to cost-effectively drive customers through the acquisition, conversion, retention funnel
- Excellent understanding and experience of managing Social Media (Paid and Organic), PPC and other paid digital media and experience with Google Analytics, reporting on conversion and return on investment
- Strong analytical skills to interpret raw rata to manage budgets, optimize spend and identify opportunities across key performance channels
- Project management experience, with an ability to motivate a team and bring people together to achieve a common goal
- Ability to collaborate, inspire and motivate other colleagues internally with a proactive and enthusiastic approach to dive in and pick things up quickly
- Excellent organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, priorities and problem solve - as well as identify and implement the best processes for the wider team to work to Experience with luxury retail brands; wine knowledge not essential but a willingness to learn is ideal
